Body Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is an aesthetic medical treatment that consists of the subcutaneous infiltration of CO2 (carbon dioxide) (only in medical centers, such as CIME Clinic, you can work with this type of sterile medical gas). It is a non-surgical, virtually painless medical procedure.

The result after the application of this therapy is an improvement of the local oxygenation of the treated tissues. Other effects of this process are an increase in blood flow velocity and the opening of small capillaries (improved circulation), an improvement in the combustion of accumulated fats, and an improvement in intracellular exchange and the functioning of the lymphatic system, doing all this that the treated skin improves its appearance remarkably.

Reduces cellulite, reduces localized fat, improves stretch marks and lightens dark circles.

The session lasts about 20 minutes.

Improvement from the first week.

Slight slight discomfort when injecting the CO2 gas in the area where it is applied.

Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is a non-surgical treatment whereby CO2 gas is injected in a controlled way under the skin (subcutaneous or intradermal). The treatment is fast and offers excellent results in a variety of aesthetic problems: It improves skin elasticity, reduces and eliminates cellulite and localized fatty deposits and stimulates the production of collagen.

Carboxytherapy is made up of a carbon dioxide tank connected to a plastic tube that transports air. The machine has a gas regulator that reduces or increases the gas speed selected by the professional. The pure gas is injected into the treated area between 15 and 20 minutes.

Localized fat, cellulite, stretch marks and dark circles

Carboxytherapy was used in the beginning for vascular diseases thanks to the vasodilatory properties of CO2. The aesthetic purposes of carboxytherapy had their beginnings in 2000 by Italian doctors. Currently, the benefits of CO2 are worldwide known and the most common treatments are: localized fat, cellulite, skin ulcers, acne or surgical scars, stretch marks, dark circles.

The treatment reaches its optimal state in 4 weeks with the decrease of adipocytes (fatty tissue), and volume reduction thanks to the improvement of lymphatic drainage.

Areas to be treated

Carboxytherapy works in several phases: first, it weakens fat cells. Subsequently, CO2 dilates the blood vessels where it is injected. This reaction oxygenates the different layers of the skin, increasing the ability of lipolysis. The result is a reduction in fat cells, firmer and more toned skin. The areas that can be treated with carboxytherapy are: dark circles, face, neck, arms, abdomen, flanks, buttocks and legs.

Post-treatment recommendations

It is widely known that the skin is the largest organ in the entire body, and is responsible for protecting us and helping us communicate with the outside environment; so it is essential that our skin is healthy. Therefore, it is important to understand how healthy skin works so that you can learn to take better care of it, and that includes using products that also help you prevent future skin problems.

Dr. Manuel Rubio, Aesthetic Medical expert specialized in facial and body rejuvenation, inspired by the needs of patients who came to his clinics with poor skin quality, which limited the result of his medical work, decided to work in a medical line of skincare, with scientifically proven results, to achieve beautiful and healthy skin, and which will help complement the aesthetic medicine treatments performed on its patients. This synergy resulted in the SUMAQ product line.

In relation to this aesthetic medicine treatment, the following recommendations are:

  • It is recommended to hydrate the skin very well after the treatment.
  • Exposure to the sun for two months after the session is highly discouraged.

It is essential to be able to care for the skin both inside and out to help the result last longer, so it is advisable to:

Reduce cellulite, reduce localized fat, improve stretch marks and lighten dark circles in Barcelona and Badalona.
