At CIME Clinic we are always innovating our treatments, and now we want to explain about a new Erelle ™ filler. It is a medical device based on cross-linked carboxymethylcellulose, which is part of a new class of injectable fillers since it not only fills facial wrinkles but also shapes facial areas such as cheeks, cheekbones, chin, jaw arch, as well as hypotrophy high school.

Why use carboxymethyl cellulose?

Carboxymethylcellulose is a substance of the biosynthetic nature of non-animal and non-human origin. It has been used in medicine for years and has been approved by the American FDA for such use. Experience shows that carboxymethyl cellulose is an inert and totally safe substance.

Why not another product based on hyaluronic acid?

Carboxymethylcellulose-based products for aesthetic uses constitute an innovative range of injectable products increasingly used, due to their manageability and safety, comparable to those of hyaluronic acids, but offering a more effective and lasting correction over time. Some studies show a bactericidal effect inside the tissues, which makes this substance an extremely safe element for its intended use.

Greater durability and better effects?

Crosslinking and the absence of specific enzymes capable of degrading the molecule inside the human body, influence the stability of the polymer, giving it a higher average duration. In fact, carboxymethyl cellulose is degraded by a non-enzymatic hydrolysis mechanism. In addition, the polymer's resistance to mechanical deformation offers better results compared to other resorbable products. In short, it is a completely last generation biodegradable filler, which works not only as a filler but also simultaneously performs an anti-aging action of synergistic effects with endogenous hyaluronic acids.
